Kinesiologist / Modalities Assistant
MYo Lab Health & Wellness
Full-Time | Immediate Start | Starting at $18/hour
At MYo, our motto is Creating Community Through Movement. We believe movement is one of the most powerful tools for improving quality of life, helping people feel better, move better, and ultimately live better.
We are looking for a passionate, people-oriented Kinesiologist to join our growing team in a unique hybrid role that combines patient-facing modality care, movement support, and member service responsibilities.
This role is ideal for someone who:
- Has a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, and human movement.
- Genuinely enjoys helping people improve their health and function.
- Thrives in a team-oriented, system-driven environment.
- Is outgoing, friendly, and energized by connecting with people.
- Wants to grow within a healthcare and rehabilitation setting.
- Values both proactive health maintenance and helping people through pain and injury.
This is a full-time position with a long-term vision of expanding into a dedicated modalities-focused role as our modalities department continues to grow.
About the Role:
The primary focus of this position will be helping grow and operate the modalities side of MyoLab, including:
- Shockwave Therapy.
- Class 3B Cold Laser Therapy.
- Custom Foot Orthotic Scanning.
- Basic Movement & Exercise Demonstration & Screening.
You will work directly under the guidance of our chiropractors and clinical team, assisting with patient care and helping people through a variety of musculoskeletal conditions — including some more severe or chronic cases.
No prior experience with these modalities is required.
MYo will provide:
- Modalities training
- In-house apprenticeship and shadowing before being on own
- Direct feedback and mentorship during onboarding
- Hands-on learning before independent patient care
This role is similar to a Chiropractic Assistant position, but we are specifically seeking someone with a Kinesiology background because of the value that understanding human movement and rehabilitation brings to the patient experience.
Secondary Responsibilities:
When not actively assisting with modalities or movement support, this role will also support our front-end operations as a Member Service Representative.
Responsibilities may include:
- Greeting and directing patients.
- Answering phone calls.
- Scheduling and rescheduling appointments.
- Helping patients stay consistent with care plans.
- Assisting with payment processing and insurance support.
- Supporting administrative workflows.
- Helping reduce cancellations through patient education and communication.
- Maintaining a welcoming and positive clinic environment.
We are looking for someone who understands that every interaction matters and that excellent patient experiences require both strong people skills and strong systems.
Our Culture & Expectations:
MYo is a highly system-driven company.
We believe great healthcare experiences happen when teams operate with consistency, alignment, accountability, and strong systems.
The ideal candidate is:
- Open-minded and coachable.
- Detail-oriented.
- Comfortable following systems and processes.
- Able to communicate confidently and professionally.
- Positive and adaptable.
- Team-focused.
- Passionate about health and wellness personally and professionally.
We want someone who genuinely lives the values we promote — someone who understands the importance of taking care of their own health while helping others improve theirs.
Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Kinesiology or related field (BSc, BPed, etc.).
- Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Customer service or reception experience is considered an asset.
Experience with modalities is not required.
Training will be provided.
Schedule:
